Which Fun Fly???
Hi to all,
I just visited the website of the National Competition Fun Fly Association: www.ncffafunfly.org and was wondering about the fun fly planes that were in their site. I am quite curious about the TURNER PERFORMANCE "MINUS", the SMITH SPECIAL and the STICKIT V, since I'm planning to buy a new fun fly plane. Does anyone of you guys have tried flying or seen this planes fly? Also, where can I order these airplanes? |
RE: Which Fun Fly???
There are many choices and the first thing you have to decide is what are you going to do with the plane and what kind of flying are you wanting to do?

Mike,
I'm looking for a fun fly plane for our club's and interclubs competition. Events are mainly: Climb & Glide, Cajones, Limbo, Combat, Musical Chair, Touch & Go. |
RE: Which Fun Fly???
Go with a Menace plus! Awesome funfly with a Webra .32. Check with Mark Shope. I've got his email if you need it.

RE: Which Fun Fly???
Hey great build! Compared to an average sport plane, say a .40 super sportster (I have one), how stable is it in a 15 mph (or so) breeze? I'm really juggling the idea of your plane or the uproar. Can the uproar knife adge at all? I'm assuming the dazzler can with it's larger fuselage area. It probably took you all of a couple hours to put that thing together huh LOL? Looks like a very fast building kit - just like my flying wing ARFs that I'm selling on ebay... you can assemble it before the batts done charging easily (gotta spread the word on my airplanes LOL). I'm thinking about making a web site to sell them, any good ones out there that you know of?

RE: Which Fun Fly???
My Dazzler gets tossed around a bit in a 15mph breeze. It's a pretty light plane for the amount of wing area. It loses altitude while knife edging, and I have the rudder throw maxed out. If I were to build another, I would give it a bit more rudder.
It is a really fast building kit. It only took me about two weeks from start to finish. I did a build thread in the kit forum. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_86...tm.htm#8643109
|

The Modeltech Magic is a fun plane. Iwon one in a club raffle last year and set it up with a $25 Turnigy motor. Ihave flown it in a couple of club fun flys and it does really well in that type of flying. It's handy having it electric because it is always ready to go when it's my turn to fly.
