too bad the v2 sux, two piece wings on 40size slabs-------------garbage-------------waste of time

RE: New Katana V2 Dealer USA

Actually it does make the fuselage a little stronger -- no gaping cut-out for the one-piece wing.

I've been thrashing a Katana P for over four years and am about to fly a new Katana 46 V2 so I'll let you know if there's any difference.

RE: New Katana V2 Dealer USA

the 2 piece like just said gives much much better and stronger fuselage,
which is very important in the profiles whether its 46 size or bigger.
The harriers are much easier then any other profile since center of wing is heavier(wing tube construction inside)
and its much less wing rocking then any other profile of its size...

3DX Hobbies going to carry them all, 46 and 70 in White and Yellow...

b/s on the wing rock.
tubed fuses like the mojo have way more strength than a two piece wing fuse. i'm not saying that they dont fly well, just that they wont take as much abuse. i thrashed my 52'' fusion for several months with the right wing sleeve broken, you could see the wing waggle when you harrier in strong wind.several brand arf's with two piece wings never seated well to the fuse causing fuel damage to the fuse. imo any profile with 55'' or less wing span is stronger and will hold up longer with one piece wings.
i think i'd prefer the omp edge v3 arf than the tmp garbage any day.

Hey Matt, thanks for the vote for the OMP Edge. But keep in mind with most any 2-piece wing model the builder always has the option to glue the wings onto the fuse for a permanent assembly. The V3 Edge has a tubed fuse and 2-piece wing and I can promise you is way stronger than a fuse with a huge hole cut in the middle. The V3 Edge gives the builder the option for both 2-piece or solid assembly. When I did a pole on the pro bro site some time ago the interest in a 40 size two piece wing model was very high. It works for many folks, others perfer a solid assembly. Now we have choices!

Hey Danny, being an engineer, I'm curious as to your statement regarding harriers and wing tube weight. Do you have any scientific evidence to support this statement?

hey salmon, any progress on the 80'' fusion or the edge arfs?

RE: New Katana V2 Dealer USA

It is all in the hands of the factory right now. I've given the green light on the final CADs. I'm hoping to have some beta kits for the 80" Fusion soon though. 47" Edge ARFs are almost complete at the factory as well.

RE: New Katana V2 Dealer USA

totaly true, and a 2 piece wing makes it strong enough to have this 100 motor,
and easier to transport to the field...

They do very well with the popular O.S. 0.91 2 stroke as well...
