What motor and fuel?

Will it start and die, or not start at all?

Have you changed glow plugs?

Did you prime the carb?

We need more details to help.

If you're talking about hanging-on, I hold on to the main tank to crank it! Then hold on to the main tank to launch it. But I have a Main Tank- Header Tank combo and the main tank is on the CG, so it balances good for holding.

I'm assuming that it has been broken in.

Have you checked the glow plug?

Have you tightened all the screws? Including: Backplate, Carb, Needle valve (be careful with that one), Head?

Are you using a chicken stick or an electric starter?

Well,

Has this motor been run before or is it brand new (not borken in)?

If it has been broken in, then I suggest to change the glow plug and tighten all the screws carefully. You don't want to strip them out, but you don't want an airleak either.

My 2 cents,

1. Change the Glow Plug and see if that helps. Go ahead and change it even if you take it off, put the glow starter on it and it lights.

2. If that doesn't work, try making some small (1/2 turn) changes to the high speed needle valve. And try to start the motor between each change. Remember where your starting position was, just in case that isn't the problem.

If a motor won't run, or run right it's either a "fuel, fire, or air" problem. Somewhere in those three things.

If you've done all these things and it still won't run, I'd suggest moving your thread to the "engines" forum and asking there.

hange'n on to the gas tank?

...

I saw a guy go to launch his PBF by holding the tank and the tank was so oil soaked it slipped and guess what happened next. So I designed a handle I call the "Optigrab" from the movie the jerk. Well anyway don't have an accident, I sell these for $2.95 plus a buck for shipping

Go punch up "Matt's Foolproof Engine Starting Technique" at http://groups.google.com. It's guaranteed to work on any 2-stroke engine. If it doesn't, either you're not following the instructions, or the engine's physically broken.

I certainly hope you're not trying to fly that PBF as your first airplane. Yes, it's tough, but you'll smash everything else to bits long before you learn to fly.
