max wind for hover

I try to hover but in a little wind it goes all over the place. Do i fight the wind like a heli trying to hold a spacific spot or do i let it take the plane while I try to hold it on the prop?
Or do i pack it in and try it another day?
how much wind is too much?
thanks much...

I find it helps to lower the nose into the wind to hold position, so if the wind is strong you will be closer to level. It then becomes more stationary flight than conventional hover, but you can lower the nose to go forward or raise it to go back. When it's windy I can't even try to torque roll, or I screw it up. But as long as it's not really gusty, stronger winds can be lots of fun for me.

I will never forget flying my sudokohi in a brisk wind one evening. It was doing all the flip floping drunken house fly stuff along with hovers.
It was so funny when this fella that had been watching came over to talk. During the course of the conversation he comes out with "How did you get that thing to fly sideways down the field?".
Most of the time I just let mine drift along with the wind while it hangs on the prop. Of course this doesn't work too well when the wind is blowing twards the pitts!

Have fun!
