Props
How well do the Top Flight Powerpoint props work ,as compared to the other brands? When I started this hobby Top Flight props made good epoxy sticks, and that was about all. I used to use Rev-up props and I liked the performance. I don't care for Zinger props for the smaller motors. The APC props work fine, but seem a bit on the heavy side. I've used Master Airscrew wood props before, but they don't make them in the sizes I'm wanting, which is 11/4 or there abouts. I'm looking for a prop to put on my HP.40 on a 3.5lb Diablotin Super. My favorite prop for my La.46s is the powerpoint 11-4. I think the Hp .40 is about the same power, so this should be about right. I also like the master airscrew 10-6, but they really take a lot of work to balance.

I have Rev-up 10x4 copies if your interested. In a regular and a wide blade.(wide blade on top in photo) Got tired of getting by butt whooped by guys that had a stockpile of genuine rev-ups and wouldn't share so I had some made. Should spin pretty good on an HP. I plan to use one on my HP .40 on a Minus(roughly 3 lb plane).

on a plane like the Diablotin, you might wanna check out the APC 12.25x3.75. Those large diameter low pitch props are really good for fun flys.

The Rev-up 10x4 copies would be a little small I think. I used to use rev-up 10x5, and 11x4 on a 3lb 6oz stick type airplane with the HP.40 with good results. The APC 12.25x3.75 is to much prop for the HP.40. If I was using a larger engine for this airplane it would be ok. To switch to a larger engine would add at least 5oz to the aircraft weight. I don't want increase the weight any more than I have to. My target weight is 3.5lb it should be way over powered at this weight, as the 3lb6oz plane would go up like a rocket. Tom
