Default dealer with spare-parts in europe???

Hi guys!

we wanted to maiden my dad's raction, but had problems with starting the PST J600R. Three failed start-ups due to low acceleration or step fail. Tried it again later in the afternoon with same results, but starter-motor did sound like a rattle-snake, so I guess there is a something wrong with it.

I will disassamble the starter tomorrow, so is there any dealer in europe who might provide some spare-parts?

Best regards,

David

Hi David,

We have dealer in Europe, Classic Birds Switzerland, but I don't think that he will be able to help you with spare parts at the moment.

Please check if you have good propane/butane gas ignition. This should bring you up to at least 30,000 rpm before the kerosense fuel kicks in. Slow acceleration progress to step fail indicates that the turbine is not getting gas ignition to help the stater motor to spool the engine up to start speed.

Please check that the starter O-ring is not slippery with oil or fuel as well.

Regards,
Kraivuth S.

Hi Kraivuth!

Thank you for your advice. I didn't have time to check the starter yet. As I said, the starter makes "funny noises" like there is something loose. I hope to find some time this week and will let you know.

Best regards,

david

P.S:: Say hello to Kumpol and the guys in the factory. I was very pleased that they staid at work to take care of the engine when I had the late flight from Bankok. Great service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kraivuth!

I think we found the error. Did take the starter apart and found a stuffed front-bearing in the starter-housing. That explanes the rattling during start-up.

As this is a german bearing it should be no problem to get a HK1210 from SKF

Best regards,

David
