Idle Speed problem J600RHello Kraivuth,
Hello Kraivuth,
My J600R has about 5 hours run time on it. It runs well but will not idleproperly.
With the GSU plugged inand the engine at 55,000 RPM, I advance the throttle to full then back to idle. The RPM's will drop all the way down to 42,000 RPM then creep up to 60,000 RPM. I then go into "Set idle speed" and adjustthe idle to 55,000. Repeat the throttle up procedure and the same thing happens. My plane will not land at 60,000 RPM so this isa problem.
Any ideas? Is the ECU failing?
Thanks
Bob

RE: Idle Speed problem J600RHello Kraivuth,
Hi Bob,
A few things to try:
1. Try calibrating with full range of Idle/Full speed. Use the "Auto Set Full Speed" function. This will allow the TEMS to calibrate with the fuel pump output.
2. Check the ECU battery
3. Check/clean the fuel filter(s)
4. Check that the fuel pump is running freely.
Regards,
Kraivuth S.

B777,
How often should the calibration be accomplished? I noticed one member stating he would accomplish it daily...seems excessive.
Cheers,
Keith

RE: Idle Speed problem J600RHello Kraivuth,
Hi Keith,
Calibration is recommended if the jet is stored for a few months. Calibration is a must if there is any changes in the fuel plumbing. If you fly regularly, the calibration is an option. However, calibration is easy to do and it doesn't hurt the engine so if you wish to do it regularly, its not a problem.
