RE: Looking for Q40 Foxy Lady
Do you mean where to get the kit or where is that specific airplane? As far as the kit, the updated version is called the Miss Candace, and is sold by Harold Sattler, www.hmracinginc.com . As far as that specific airplane, I don't know.

RE: Looking for Q40 Foxy Lady
Kurt Bozarath had it for sale a little while back. My Buddy had it before he sold it to Kurt. And he got it from over seas.
Try Kurt and see if he still has it.

RE: Looking for Q40 Foxy Lady
thanks guys,
Kane, your buddy probably got it from me as I was the first owner, still has my initials on it PJ-DVZ. Had never flown it and sold it because pylon came to a complete stop here in the Caribbean. Saw Kurt had it for sale to late, as it had allready been sold. Would just like to buy it back for nostalgic reasons.
Thanks folks

I know there is a purple and yellow one floating around up in the Cities. Not sure who owns it any more, sold several times.

RE: Looking for Q40 Foxy Lady
Dirk,
there still might be hope. I think Lee was referring to the one that DAVEN mentioned, not the one in the picture. I do remember having to fix the ailerons, as there was no movement what so ever, when my buddy had it.
Does anyone know who bought this airplane from Kurt?

RE: Looking for Q40 Foxy Lady
The molds are coming to Matney's Models soon. For the Miss Candace, and Q40 Foxy Lady
Are these the molds from H&M Racing (Harold Sattler) or are we talking about some other version of Candace and Foxy Lady?
To my knowledge H&M Racing is still very actively producing the Miss Candace Q40. Can you clarify?
Thanks,
Randy

Kevin this is my Miss Foxy Lady. And is quite different from Harold's. I think I carved this plug in 1991. Jim Gager used to lay up my fuselages and after we stopped producing them. I sent the molds to Don. His hope was to use them for a sport QM class. The airfoil is slightly modified SD6060. No Composite wing No composite tail.

RE: Looking for Q40 Foxy Lady
Here is a picture of some of my Miss Foxy Lady models.
Left to right: Tim Lime (when he lived in Illinois), Tom Scott (back when he smoked a pipe), Ed Spiker (R.I.P), and Joe Dodd (Grunk has a good story about the airplane Joe is holding. Some day ask him about how Joe got that airplane).
DK
Edit: Funny thing about the airplane Tim is holding... I cut off the left wing tip on a pylon cross brace, repaired it and loaned it to Tim for the Silver Cup. He then loaned it to Mike McConville who flew it at a race in Florida. It eventually, was re-painted and sold to Glen W. in the Rockford area.

Danny Kane,
I've been known to build a woodie Q40 or two.
How is the performance of your Miss Foxy Lady?
I may build one since they may again become available.

I would have no worries about building this airplane with a wood wing. You can build a good wood wing and have it be every bit as fast as ANY composite. My Endeavor although it is a moulded wing the molds were made from a wood wing I built and flew to make sure it was straight before I made the molds and I would say it is competetive with any Q40 out there...

Scott, I always loved the way this airplane flew. I am sure it would be competitive, go for it.
