Basin Q40 Race Results
Here are the day one results for the big Q40 Race going on at the Basin. They were passed on to me and I thought I'd post them for those who are also interested in what's going on out there. They have three more rounds today.

RE: Basin Q40 Race Results
I was there yesterday and all I can say besides everybody was fast is that the airplane builders will be very busy. There had to be at least 20 that crashed after lunch between mid airs and bad airs....
Jerry Smalls new airplane is beautiful...

RE: Basin Q40 Race Results
Every heat there were at least 2 if not 3 world class pilots. It was an honor to be there and race against these guys and gals. What I liked about Rusty's stuff is the old design (mid 90's) is still competitive.
Verano was fast.
Travis was smooth
Jim Allen is all business
Grunk is a pure gent as is Tom Scott.
All the people were classy and professional and I enjoyed gettin my butt kicked.
Lee Vonderhay (sp?) has to be one of the most fantastic builders out there- he is a master craftsman.
The Valley Flyers and Doug Killabrew did a great job with extra classy little things that made the whole race more enjoyable.
I still have my plane so I will try it again someday.
No Chip didnt race.
