Working Time Elmers Pro Bond
Could any one comment on how much working time would I have for working with Elmers Pro bond glue, and how much is supposed to be left on the balsa Sheets for a proper bonding on a Q500 428 foam wing.
In advance, thanks a lot.

RE: Working Time Elmers Pro Bond
I've used probond on several wings and prefer it to epoxy. Working time should not be an issue, you should have at least 30 minutes in getting everything glued, lined up, and in the bag.
I like to put the probond on the sheeting, rather than the foam. The wood soaks it up a little more than the foam, but its easier to see how much you have on there. If you gently mist the foam with a small spray bottle, you can spread it extremely thin on the wood. The water mist on the foam will generate a foaming action that will give you an excellent bond to the wood.
I also like to heat the probond up in a bucket of hot water before applying. This thins it out considerably, allowing it to be laid on in a thin layer.
I squirt the probond on the sheets, and scrape 90% off with a plastic scraper unitl its uniformally even.
Bag it up, and you will be good to go. Just make sure you leave it in the bag at least 12 hours, and preferrably 24 hours for the best bond. The bottle says 4 hours, but thats not nearly enough in an airtight vacumm bag.
