RE: Nelson mods?
Mods?
Theres really not anything that needs to be done.
Check the head spacing and make sure it is in the ball park. I have a couple that have delivered a little outside of what I where I think they should be.
For a Q500 motor it should fall somewhere between 190-194 on the sleeve, and 8-14 on the head depending on how you like it.
Break it in per Shadells recomendations and you should be good to go. Any mods other than above, and you will most likely be violating a rule if you plan on racing in any sanctioned Q500 race.

RE: Nelson mods?
The only mod that need's to be done is bolting one on . any mods you do will hurt the engine not help it . if it was a mvvs theres some stuff you can do to them . but it's best to leave it the way he did it .
