Default Hitec 225 on 422 plane

Hi Guys,
I have used the Hitec 225 servos in a 428 all year so far on elevator and ailerons and they work just fine. I am now building a Larson Proud Bird and I was wondering if you thought I could use the servos (Hitec 225 on the rudder, elevator, and ailerons? I was cautioned not to by someone, but I can't see why not. They are ball bearing with plenty of torque.

Thanks for your help,
Larry

I have had very good luck with the 225s, and have used them on 422 planes. They are strong enough, but just don't center as good as the better servos. I notice the plane drifts either in or out after a hard turn around #1.

I've stopped using them for 422, but they do work.

They work ok. I have them in both the QM40 and Q-500.

But as Dave noted....... there are occations where they do not center as you might wish them to. Seems to be a servo-to-servo thing.

Hitec has some digitals that are the same size now. Those are in my QM this year.

I've been using those Hitec Digis in a few planes recently, and they seem pretty good. They are bit on the heavy side though with the metal gears. I curious to see how they wear, and how long before they get "sloppy".
