A pic with Dave in the lead is precious because it's so rare ... like those photos of whales breaching. You never know when or where it'll happen, you just have to wait with camera ready and hope to catch that fleeting instant.

plus its the only one I have.
Too bad that plane didn't survive the contest, I liked it alot, and it was just a hair (1oz) over the minimum weight.

Ok Dave, the suspense is killing me. Who do the other planes belong to? I would guess thats RB, AKA Smoke, AKA luv-to-race with the red Vortex in second place but who owns the, is it a Neme-Q, in third place?

Ed, actually there's "fuzz" around all three. Dave was leading at the time. Freeman Jr. had the orange Vortex and that was my NemeQ+. I think Dave cut, and I snuck by Jr. going through 2-3 on the last lap. Great race. Unfortunately, that was the fifth and final complete flight on that airplane for me.

Its not a doctored photo Ed, It was taken at the Winterfest in 2004 I believe. The photo had to be shrunk down to fit the RCU requirements which I believe has caused the fuzziness. I have the original "unshrunk" picture that is much clearer and bigger. That one is cropped.
