I believe ********.net has been around longer than RCU. Unfortunately, it just doesn't get the traffic RCU does. I visit most of the RC sites, and keep coming back to RCU because of the traffic.

Go to the nmpra site http://www.nmpra.org all the current forums are listed there under "Other Racing Forums". It's great that there are so many motivated people who want to promote pylon racing.
You'll even find a link there to the Australian racers!
Another site I haven't listed yet is:
http://www.q500424.com
It's put up by Carl Dvorak and is targeted at 424 racing.
Stan D.
PS: Actually if you want to get into who was first, that it matters, Tom Smith at RC Aiplanes has been around a long long time. http://www.rcairplanes.com/ and did the original NMPRA site.

Hello,
Maybe I did not express my point correctly. This site has given me a lot of useful information, HOWEVER I have never visited a site where there was so much back and forth bickering. I guess I am from the old school, if you have nothing nice to say don't say it. I have read some of the previous posts over the last 6 weeks since I found this site, and some were quite unprofessional. Not exactly what I expected.
I am sorry if I did not express myself better. Could someone please list all of the site related to pylon so I may bookmark them. Being new to computers and pylon in general, I would like to read as much information as possible.

Welcome to the 'net then... where you can believe about half what you read. Maybe.
In the good old days... before the 'september that never ended'... (which is still going strong),
people would find a new group, and lurk around for weeks or even months, before ever posting.
It kinda gave you a feel for who knew their stuff and who didn't,
and which folks to add to your ignore list, etc...
I doubt you'll find a *public* board that's 100% professional, by the way.
Good and bad everywhere... people pretending to be something they're not,
people pretending NOT to be something they are, and then of course, the "regular joes",
who can usually be taken at face value, and are "good guys".
Just gotta figure out who those are, and ignore the others, pretty much
That, and remember that not everyone's an expert, but opinions sometimes get laid
down as hard facts. It's up to you to sort it all out, basically... so choose wisely.
Anyhow... wherever you go, have fun, and don't buy into everything you read.
Chris
