Scorpion Racing

Hey guys,

I am looking for some good aerial shots of some quickies for our next event flyer. I have a nice one of my quickie rounding pylon 2 for the winter race flyer, but I need something else for the spring flyer. If anyone has some pics I could use for the background, please let me know! My Favorite.

Amazing to catch 3 165 mph planes in the same frame.

This was at Phoenix a couple years ago. I can't remember which Gary plane won the heat, I know it wasn't me.

That was a fun heat! I think I won it , and promply planted that plane around pylon 3 the next round...followed by my backup a couple rounds later [&o]

Well, my green plane in that picture didn't make the return trip either, I can't remember for sure, but I think I midaired Helsel later that day and he was upset I knicked his prop.

That was a bad year for air around #3.

Great picture Dave, I love it when the racing is tight. I see why this is your favorite,... you are in the lead! If I use it for my flyer, do you want credit for the picture? By the way, are you going to be at the Tangerine this weekend?

I did not take the picture (obviously) it was originally sent to my be Paul Herman, although I'm not sure he is the one who took the photograph. I will check, but will probably not hear back before I leave.

Yes, I have a 8am flight to Orlando for the Tangerine. Looking forward to it.

Great, I hope to see some of you guys there at the Tangerine. I will be there Saturday and Sunday in 424. Look for the wood wings with the red tips, Scorpions will be in the air....
