Default 90-120 size q500

I am thinking about building a larger q500 just for fun.
I am looking at about a 65 inch wing, 13 inch cord, about 850 squares. I am guessing this to be about 30% over a stadard racer. If so, the fuse should be around 54 inchecs long if I pull straight from existing airframes.
As I would like to retain the wing dimensions, would this fuse length be acceptable?
How much area would be required for the v tail per half? What is the most favorite angle for the vtail? Dimensions on this would be nice.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
DD

I did this same idea with a Modeltech Joss Stick, back when they sold them as "almost-ready-to-cover" instead of today's covered ARFs. I even made it a V-tail, and it looked to have about the right dimensions compared to a real Q500. I flew it with a 1.08. It was fun for a few flights, then I sold it.

Did you use the Joss fat wing or did you replace it with a different airfoil.

I used the fat wing, thanks to pylon racing goggles.

Why don't you check out the Lanier Dominator 1500. It is a larger q500 style plane. Used in the large scale pylon races. Might be interesting or at least give you a guideline.

Thanks, I looked the Dominator 1500. Too big and heavy for me. I guess what I really want to know is can I take the dimensions from a standard size plane and blow them up to my requirements and still have a use-able platform?
Or a simpler way of asking, does everything stay proportionate?

Yes you can blow them up, or down for that matter. Most things stay proportionate, your only real issue could be CG depending on what motor you intend to use.

Thats the answer I was looking for. Thanks Dave. CG should be no problem.
