John,
I'm not sure there will be a race this month...
I emailed both Jim allen and Stand D. more than a week ago, but no response from either of them. I'm not sure what's going on, but it doesn't seem like there's going to be one for this month. It's so sad...
If I would of known about the race in California this weekend (just found out from Lee Ulinger today), I would be there tomorrow, but it's too late now cause the honey bun said, no way, and she already had plans for the weekend. Bummer!

Wow!
I guess I didn't missed anything. Although, it sad for those people who attended the race and there's no race due to Mother Nature. What a bummer for them!

I did that last time I attended the race at the Basin and let me tell you... I heard enough in the car for 6 long hours drive home. I don't want to go through that again. :spinnyeye

As reported the Basin race on the 2nd was canceled due to high (very high) winds. However everyone got a good afternoon of pylon up practice on Saturday so all was not lost. I would like to thank all who showed up particularly those who traveled. We had several from Phx as well as central Calif. It looked like total entry would have been 45 to 50. I would also like to welcome the new APRA guys who showed up. I believe there were four or five of them. The next race at the Basin is not until June but we are trying to put something together at El Toro.

Barry,
Is there going to be any races at Whittier Narrow Park?
That was my former home town when I first took flight in a R/C model back in the mid 80's. It would be nice to visit that place again.

Speedworld APRA/428
Yes we will be racing, February 15th. The plan is to have our new lap counting system set up and test it before the JR Q-40 on Feb. 21, 22 and 23. We will race APRA and 428.
Been busy and haven't been monitoring this forum. I check the NMPRA forum every day.

Bill,
The race usually start at 9am.
I guess I better go practice (around the Pylon that is) now since all these time I've been busy building and testing the SAM-RAI Quickie.
See you at the race, Bill!

Yes, the pylon 3 door will be close this time. Although, I might try to stay just two more feet away from it.
Got to keep a tight course, you know.

Nope. She did not confirm it, but you know what I will do... I can not miss my race.
Oh yeah... practice time, building time and test flight time for the newly design SAM-RAI quickie. Ah... little time for the honey bun.

In answering Sam's question above, San Gabriel Valley Radio Control League (SGVRCL) will be holding our annual Pylon Shoot-Out At The Narrows on October 18 & 19, Sat. & Sunday. This will be two 1-day races featuring 422, 428 and APRA 424.

Thanks for the information!
It's a long time from now, but I will be there unless otherwise noted.
Thanks,
