After this past weekends race I've decided to make the 428 portion of this race an SS only race. Most of the local guys have not yet made the plunge into the LS quickie engine. The other determining factor was when I noticed that the CAP's race (9/29 & 9/30) is also SS only for 428.. Any questions please contact me.

The only engine restriction is the Nelson LS quickie.. A Jett quickie engine is fine if you're into that sort of thing

Donnie, bring one of your jets, there is plenty of paved runway.

Dave, I think Don said he got rid of them or at least that was the rumor..

Donnie, if you come all this way you might as well bring a plane, it's a great place to race.

Dave,

there have only been a few reported shed blades that I am aware of. I've run the 7.5 nearly exclusively and haven't had a failure, I saw one fail in Florida, and have heard of a couple others.

All failures have occurred in Flight, not on the ground. The props are still legal as it stands now.

Should be fun.. We've got a BBQ going for Saturday night at the LaValley Ranch.. Steaks, potatoes and beer -- $20 a head.. No, it probably won't be as good as Dennis C's but it's about as good as you'll find in cheeseland..

I almost forgot, bring the foamies.. I've got 30 acres in front of the house to crash on

I thought I would post a big THANKS to everyone that made the race in Amery, WI this past weekend.. I think all had a great time and I enjoyed having everyone out to the house for some food and drink and a massive BS fest around the fire.

I don't have the results in front of me but I know that Jerry Bednark took both days and was one or two points from perfect in Quickie and was perfect in Q40.. I have to say, it was some of the closest quickie racing I've ever seen.. Not just a heat or two but almost every heat every round.. However, at the same time, there wasn't a single midair (there was one wing slap though)..

In all it was a success I think.. So, next year, we'll do it again.. Maybe some of you "big dogs" can come up and see how you do without a turn light.. That's right, I'm calling you out
