Default CG ( balance)

Rick, a good place for starters should be about 2 1/2 inches from the Leading edge.

The way I do mine is to start at 2 1/2",,, then I go fly it. Then I flick it inverted to see how it acts,,, if it dives, its nose heavy. Now if it climbs, it TAIL Heavy

I normally get mine to the point of where it its almost hands off during inverted flight,,, with a slight push on the stick now and then to keep it tracking in a straight line

Hope that helps, BV
