Default sam-rai for 424

i have a viper on the way but want a back up plane, will this compete with a viper in 424?

Steve, have no worries about that little amount of carbon,,, the mounting of the 2.4 gear is far enuff away that it wont cause any problems.

Thats my 2002 NATS pic holding some 10th place wood. That was a Vortex wing and my own fuse but its now long gone up in 428 heaven

The Carbon should not made a difference for the radio. And Kevlar will not have a affected on the radio at all.. And if you wish I can leave it out and put in a 4.3 oz second piece of fiberglass.

As you can see in the pic. The nose is the only thing with Carbon in it. As for Kevlar it is only in the LG area.

Have you raced your Sam-Rai yet? I built two this summer and
raced #1 at the Western States Finals two weeks ago. It is fast and groovy!
I need to take out some of the aileron and elevator throws, as I had
it set up too sensitive for putting it on the course.

Here is a picture of Tom Skavinski and me with our Sam-Rai's.

Best Regards,
Tom

Here are a few pictures of my Sam Rai kit.

This one should be very light as the wing core weighs in at about 10 ounces without hardware.

Plans and instructions are limited. A newcomer may have issues building.

This one should make a good second or third Q500.
