O.S. 25FX Backplate Mount
Mike Langlois of [link=http://aeroprecisionmachine.com/contactus.htm]Aero Precision Machine, Inc.[/link] designed and made some backplate mounts for the O.S. 25FX for Quickie 25.
These mounts are cool and take care of the remote needle valve built into the backplate with a little standoff.
Here are some photos.

Don,
Does the mount put the engine far enough forward to offset the weight difference between a OS 25FX and the TT Pro 40? As you know most Quickie airframes are set for a .40.

Trey,
It's pretty close as long as you don't get too heavy in the back reinforcing your Viper. This mount is perfect for a Quickie 25 designed plane like the Buckshot.
I'll try to get in touch with Mike and see if he can bring what he has to the race on Saturday.

RE: O.S. 25FX Backplate Mount
Trey,
I talked to Mike and I am going to sell the mounts as their business is not oriented toward consumers. They are a precision machine shop for the aviation and other industries.
The introductory price is going to be $22 plus shipping.
The mount only moves the engine forward enough for the remote needle valve to have clearance. However, you could put stick-on lead weight in the cavity in the back. A better option is to move your battery pack to the fuel tank area. But if you want to be able to switch a plane from 424 to Quickie 25 without moving anything inside, you can add the weight in the cavity and/or use a [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXE191&P=7]Dubro Chrome Brass Prop Nut 1/4"[/link] so you don't have to move anything inside.
