We're going to be flying indoors again next Tuesday and this time we'll be using the the 1811 Turnigy motor. We'll be able to get some good video, there is a balcony that we can film from, so we'll be up about 20 feet, looking down on the flight. With the green turf as a backround, it should be a lot easier to see just what kind of performance we have. The motor we have is a 2000 KV, there is another 1811 with a 3000 Kv. So with two different motors and the one set of batteries, you can have two totally different options.

Where are you flying at? I might send my dad over there. He lives in South Lyon.

Bill,
my son, Jeff and I are completeing the assembly of a small 3 axis CNC router today. The CAD is almost finished as we speak and we're hoping to start making some prototype parts this weekend. I bought enough materials for a nice size production run, we'll see how it goes. If we get the machine up and running, I'll post more photos over the weekend. If everything works, we could have some kits in 10-14 days.

Vicman,
The indoor facility is called Ultimste Soccer Arena. It's on South Street, in Pontiac. I believe you can contact them at ultimatesoccerarenas.com

Mr James. thanks for remembering the family for our really active times, but you seem to have me at a disadvantqge, my old brain can't seem to come up with a name for GSjames, sorry.

Thanks to everyone for their interset and kind words about this project.

Actually Arch, there's no particular reason that you SHOULD remember me. I flew Combat around Kansas City and was NATS Combat Director in 1975 at Lake Charles. I designed and flew some of the earliest foam taper-wing combat planes. They inspired some of the later combat designs such as the ArrowPlane, etc. I never flew Stunt, but remember you guys and your V-tailed ships that were the envy of the midwest. Now days, I mostly fly RC Combat(competitive), Indoor 3D(sport) and occasionally F2D combat(???). I did have the pleasure of meeting you, Dennis and your dad, Big Art, in the summer of '07 when you took him out to the Michigan Signal Seekers flying site. I was an airline pilot on reserve duty. Best wishes to you and the entire Adamisin family. Gary James, Weatherford, TX.

Gary,
Now I do remember meeting at the field, or at least meeting an airline pilot there.
Thanks again for the kind words. It looks like most of the family is going to be returning to some modelling this summer. I know Big Art is happy we are. We'll be flying 3 or 4 new V-tailed stunters this year, all painted in retro colors.
Jeff and I flew the little quickies yesterday and we we're able to get some video, it should be up this afternoon.
Our new machine is finished but has yet to move. It seems like there's a software glitch somewhere. We're waiting on a return call from the manufacturer help line.

I know this an old thread, but was there ever a kit or plan for these planes? We are looking at getting indoor pylon going at our club and this looks to be what we need.
One last thing, does the wing have an airfoil and if so can anyone tell me the section used. There has been a plan for a similar plan published in our national magazine and the plan has a flat plate section, not sure if this is good or not.

this is thread i started in RC groups back in 2013. some good build pictures of my scratch built Q100. I didnt want break neck speed indoor, but still wanted it to be fast for indoors.
In my video, it takes me a few laps to get up to speed. it flew better the faster i went...

Hope this can give you some ideas!

Cheers
