What rpms on Sport Jett 0.50
Hello Friends,
I am new into pylon and installed a Sport Jett 0.50 with tune pipe into a great planes viper. I have a 8*9 APC prop turning 18.750 rpms. But with a 9*9 prop the rpm falls down to 16.000 rpms. This is the first Jett engine in Turkey and I donot have anybody else at the field with Jett engines experience. Should the engine not be turning more? I am thinking that this engine should be turning a 9*9 apc over 17.000rpm. Am I wrong? Can I please get your experiences with SJ 0.50 with tuned pipe on props and rpms.
All the best

RE: What rpms on Sport Jett 0.50
I am using 15% nitro and 18%synthetic & 2% castor oil fuel. Is it broken in? I have run the engine for 20 minutes on the test bench rich and flow 6 times, each 3 minutes. So, the engine has run for between 35-40 minutes. The glow plug is the original one but the glow plug bursted on the last flight although the engine is definitely not lean.
