Hello all,
Whittier Narrows SoCal is holding it first race of the year on March 13th and 14th with friday afternoon for practice. Come on out and experience some great Wing to Wing racing!!! The SGVRCL Club puts on a great race!! Flyer is below.

Whittier Narrows Spring Pylon Race
Host: San Gabriel Valley Radio Control League (AMA #154)
When: March 13th and 14th , (1/2 day practice, Friday, March 12th ).
Please be courteous to sport flyers on Friday and share the field.
Where: Whittier Narrows Regional Park
Exit north on Rosemead Blvd off the 60 Fwy, Turn left into the park approx ¼ mile from the Fwy.
You must show your AMA card at the gate or be charged an entrance fee.
Classes: 424, (APRA) and 428(Q40 if enough entries). Flown on 2.5 mile course.
Format: Two one day races, with 424 and 428 flown each day.
MAXIMUM OF 3 PER FREQUENCY/GROUP (IN EACH CLASS).
Entry Fee: $25.00 per class per day.
You must show proof of AMA at sign up on Saturday and Sunday, NO EXCEPTIONS !
Pre-registration is required. Email Dave Gavin: [email protected] with your info.
Late registration and inspection will close at 8:30 am Saturday and Sunday.
Pilots meeting at 8:30 am, First race begins at 9:00 am sharp.
NO PRACTICE SATURDAY OR SUNDAY UNLESS YOU HAVE REGISTERED !

Do yo guys race planes that are gas, like gt80? 100" ws?

No! We race the AMA official classes 424, 428 and 422. The AMA web site will explain in detail what these are. All of these classes have a max engine size of .40 cu in.

Nope, Wish I could but we have relatives visiting from Germany. Mark won't be there either. We'll be at the April Race at the basin though.
