V-Vector

It would not be my first choice. The plane is a bit more labor intensive than other Q500 choices out there. The Tail setup they have is a bit of a bear, and these tend to come out heavier than you would like a Q500.

They call it an Arc, but the only thing they have done is sheet the wing. If your looking for a sheeted wing Quickee, you could check with Bill Vargas about his Racer II. Or, you could go with Mike Del Pontes Revlution.

Or, you could just get the Predator 500 ARF for less than the V-Vector.

If you like to build, the Dominator is a great flying Q500 kit for about $50.

V Vector Pylon Plane

Howdy, like Dave says, The vector is some what labor intensive getting the fuselage built. If you like building then you should have no worries.

If you want an easier plane to build, I would suggest a dominator or one of my Racer II kits :D

If you like ARFs, then the predator is the way to go.

A good place to look at these planes would be at www.pylonworld.com under Q500 planes.

crashed1,

I was in your situation a while back and talked with these guys about what to get for a first Q500. I looked at the Dominator and the ARF version of it. I wanted something with a v-tail (since I hadn't owned an airplane like that before). So I went with the Racer II from Bill Vargas. The kit arrived very quick after he received my payment. It doesn't come with any hardware so you get to choose what you put on it. I still had lots of questions about doing the push rods, the landing gear type, wheels, etc. But I look back now and none of it was difficult.

I put a Rossi Q500 .40 on mine and it really goes to town!

Click on the "www" below to go to my site. It's the plane at the bottom of the page since they're in chronological order of the way I acquired them. Don't pick "Gold" for a color, it's HARD to see!

The quality of the wood was excellent with the kit.
