OLD JULIAN AIRPORT FALL AIR RACES 424, 426, 428, 422 JULIAN, NC OCT 9th-10th
 

OK Guys, just to get everyone ready for the Old Julian Airport pylon races next month. About 5 weeks away!! NOTE: 424 and 428 on Saturday (So... get them Nelsons out of the scrap bin one more time!![sm=cry_smile.gif]) 422 and 426 on Sunday. Plenty to eat, drink and race!! Check out the flyer and send Jim Katz an e-mail for pre-registration to save some $$$.:D

NOTE: The course should be setup Friday for those who come early for practice. Just e-mail Jim if you plan to practice on Friday!!

I'm going to give 428 a try with the Seeker. Hopefully I can get my nerves settled down enough to race that thing.

I see Mike got a picture of himself in the Octomer issue of MA page 120 on the field in Julian, NC If you guys are looking to compete with the BIG BOYS from around the contry and world plan to make this race. You will not regret it!!

Dan, Jim suppose to have that great BBQ ready for Saturday night again this race. Very nice under the Pecan trees. A good time to relax and enjoy everyones company!!

Looks like the weather suppose to be 75 degrees and clear for this weekends race. Some great weather for some great racing!!!

Seth and I are racing Saturday and bringing an observer. Can't make Sunday.
I've been afraid to fly the last two weeks since usually I tear up a racer right before a race and have to rush the back up in order to play. My primarys are ready to go and the back up is getting paint this week.

I had a great day Saturday!
Thanks to all the guys who came from out of town and brought their A game. It was really cool to be a part of it.

Thanks also to Jim Katz and Mike Langlois and their families for the tremendous work they put in. Sorry I couldn't stay and help clean up today...next race.

AWSOME RACE GUYS. THANKS TO JIM, MIKE, AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT WORKED TO PUT ON A GREAT RACE.

AT LEAST 6 OR MORE PRIOR NATIONAL CHAMPS WERE RACING. TALK ABOUT TOUGH COMPETITION. IT WAS GREAT.

CAN'T WAIT TILL THE NEXT RACE AT JULIAN, NC.

The Old Julian Race was a really fun, well run event. Mike Langlois, Jim Katz, and their families put on an unbelievably great event. I'm amazed at how well the event was run. All of the Old Julian Air Races have been a great display of sportsmanship and southern hospitality. I can't wait for the next race. Thanks to everyone who helped put on such a great event. - Seth

Let me get in line to also offer my appreciation to Mike, Jim, and all the folks involved who are bringing first-class racing back to North Carolina. You guys/gals have done it again. The Raleigh crowd really enjoyed the event and are already planning for the 2011 season. We'll see you in the Spring!
