Default landing light picture

I'm in the middle of a scale building project and am in the need of a picture of a leading edge landing light to use as a guid for creating a vinyl graphic. A straight on view would be best. Photo of actual or of a decal is OK. Anyone one have one to share...
Thanks

Murphey,

That's a great photo offered!

Would be a nice look if it could be replicated in vinyl? Three layers could pull this off?

My guess is a mirror vinyl with the "bulb" circle done in some other material. Possibly brushed aluminum? The frame could be the same color as the model.

Or in the reverse.

Thing is, the bulb wouldn't be recessed. It would be laying on the LE. Still could work.

If you're doing a scale project...I have never seen a landing light just laying out on the leading edge of a wing....on landing gear yes...or a retractable landing light under the wing yes....but landing lights on wings are usually under a lens or at least recessed.....
Not picking on ya just trying to help

Jetmech05,

Yes, obviously one would cut the leading edge and do a recess for the correct look. Just like the leading edge in the photo. A reasonably true scale look.

Making that recessed landing light isn't all that difficult. Everything could be trimmed in vinyl materials except the contured LE glass.

However, Murphey is clearly, for one reason or another, electing to use vinyl.

I have a Hanger 9 Corsair, NIB. I have to bring myself to stripping the thing down to add scale goodies.

I know no vinyl that will give the look of working flaps. Yes, landing lights also.
