Different adhesives for different purposes. I keep them all in my workshop. Carpenters Glue, Gorilla Glue, Epoxy (5 minute, 30 minute, finishing), silicone, foam safe ca (thin and gap filling).

Thanks Brad, Im looking for input on brands though. Is there certain brands of each that work best and which ones to stay away from?

I use Bob Smith CA and epoxy and have no complaints with them at all. I also use Titebond wood glue as well.. Good Luck, Dave

I really haven't found one brand to be any different than another.

Do any of you thin your glues? I have read some folks thin their glues. I took some wood filler the other day with wood glue and thinned with a bit of water. I made a paste like filler/glue and was rather amazed at how this worked although I am not sure how it will hold up in the long haul. If someone has done some of this please comment on your results.

I use Elmer's wood filler and I thin it on occasion. Works great.
