Default Single Vs Dual Conversion

Hello!

After several years flying only Futaba reciever + crystal sets, I finally need to learn about some compatability.
I have a Hitec Mini 6S receiver:Auto Shift, Single Conversion. The only crystal I have laying around isa channel 19 (my channel) with "RA"on the side, and green bands on the tag.

Any idea if this will work?I know that it does operate, but I don't know if the crystal is dual or single conversion. Are they interchangable? Can I use one of mystandardFutaba crystals?

Thank you,

Graeme

As the receiver crystal is kinda important for keeping the plane both together and in sight, don't be penny wise and pound foolish. Get the proper crystal.

Get the correct Hitec crystal for the receiver. Even if it is working you dont know how off center the tune is and it can pickup unwanted signals.

I know it's important, but what is the difference? I am interested in knowing what the advantages, disadvantages, and reasons for chosing either dual or single conversion.

Thanks again,

Graeme
