Default Servo mounting location

Just wondering if it's ok to mount the throttle servo up front inside the cowl area on cessna skylane? Would the servo get too much heat from the engine?

Default RE: Servo mounting location

Should not be a problem with glow (leave 3X more exit openings than entrance for the airflow).  Don't put a servo within 10" of a gasoline engine.

Be sure to use the rubber servo grommets when mounting on the firewall and don't rely on just epoxy to hold the servo mount.

Ditto on the 10" minimum for RECEIVERS for gas engines, (RF interference) I've seen many gassers with the throttle servo mounted on the firewall with no problem.
