Default Motor Mount Question for OS FS30

I`m working on a Sig Seniorita and Mounted the Motor Mount while building per the plans

I got the engine yesterday and upon placing it on the beams,There is an area that looks like I have to trim off the side of the mount to access the throttle linkage on the carb.
Can this be done without ruining the integrity of the mount?Or do I have to get a Straight beam mount?
The mounts came in the kit,,are the Sig style that have the angles supporting the beam.

Also,,when mounting through the Mounts,,is it best to Tap threads through the entire mount so if something decides to come loose,,it`ll take "Longer" to come loose?Just in case something fails?

Thanks
Phil

You can get away with cutting quit a bit, especially with a small 4 stroke like that,,,
I like to tap all the way through the mounts,, Done right, those screws aren't going to back out

good luck

Thank you

Advice really helps as I would hate to have weakened the mount and lost the plane
