here is a vid of it with stock muffler. in the video its running around 130-132 average on gps. it does 140 with the jet muffler.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TRgy..._order&list=UL

i shortened the Ailerons by 4" on each side for a total of 8" per aileron. this was to reduce flutter and drag. i made a new elevator out of solid wood sanded to an airfoil shape. the elevator is made out of three sheets of 3/16 balsa into a plywood config. IE the grain is 90 degree different in the middle. the elevator servo is in the rear of the fuselage with internal linkage.

You have to fiber glass the firewall and the gear mounts. to do this you need to sand the corners and edges to a 1/4' round shape so the fiberglass will lay down easily. Do the same for the gear by removing the covering around the gear. round over the bottom fuselage edge to the firewall. sand off the factory expoxy coating. apply two layers of 6 ounce cloth so that it wraps around the bottom of fuselage to the fire wall. put wax paper over the cloth and epoxy work the excess out. now take your exacto blade and make a small cut in the cloth where the gear screws go. install the gear with the wax paper inbetween the gear and fiberglass. let dry over night. the stock gear will break before the mount rips out and adds very little weight to the plane. this is the best fix. some guys add 1/4 ply to bottom of the fuselage and aluminum plate lol.

you also have to remove the balsa aileron square structure out of the wing and re glue with epoxy. to remove you will need to cut out the corners of the upper wing sheeting so it will come out. i then removed some of the foam glued to the upper wing sheeting and added balsa to fill in the gap of the wing box structure so you can glue this structure to it to fit in the stock location and height.

For all control surfaces you need to add some form of pin hinges or the hinge points. the rudder will need 5 if going for high speeds. i can run my revo straight down from as high as can see with no flutter issues at all.

If dont under stand how i did any of this let me know. oh yeah i also recovered the plane aswell.

It is a very high quality, nice flying airplane. I have had zero issues with mine. I would set up the controls throws and CG as specified in the manual for the first few flights. I find that it slows down much nicer than the smaller Revolver and lands easily if you flare it enough to let the tail wheel lightly touch down first before relaxing the elevator and letting it gently drop onto the mains.
