Font for Military Aircraft Numbers
I have a picture of a Texan with very bold numbering on the wing. The numbers have no curves, just straight vertical, horizontal and 45 degree lines. What is the font that is used there? It looks easier than other fonts for cutting out numbers from Ultracoat. I looked on Microsoft Word and don't see one like it.

Here is a link to 11 pages of Stencil Fonts. There is one similar to what you are looking for on page 2

What a cool site. Mike, have you thought of that as a sticky??

Besides, we try not to have a lot of stickys in the forums - they take up too much space if you get too many. So just stick dafont.com in your favorite places folder.
Now you know where I get all of those cool fonts in my review graphics

Do you have a photo?
If it's a real aircraft, and restored or repainted, the font may or may not be correct.
I've seen all kinds of mistakes on restored aircraft.
Nice website, be nice if you could save the word?

Wow! A surfeit of riches! Either one of Amarillo or Bombardier is close, but the "G" is not quite the same. The picture is an SNJ-5 Texan on the May page of the Ghosts 2011 WWII calendar. I went to the web site (http://www.ghosts.com/calendar11ii.html) and tried to copy the small picture but when you blow it up a bit, it is too pixellated to see the detail. However, since the objective was to get a font easy to cut out of covering material for my T-34 race plane, either of these is great.
