I put them in a brand new 50cc Edge and almost lost the plane on the 3rd flight. I had an elevator half lock up. I removed all of them and replaced them.
Now that isn't to say that other people haven't had good luck with them. There are a number of people on the "other" site that say they have had success with them but you asked for experiences and thoughts. Servos will never be a place I go cheap again. You're milage may vary.

I'm not using those specific servos, I have 4 hd1501 in a biplane, but not much flight time on it. Another guy in the club has had 3 digital HSs lock up on him. Dont know which ones. Thankfully all on the ground. I'm having second thoughts now and planning on taking them out. Seems the reviews were pretty good at first. Now I've seen enough lockup reports that its making me nervous.

The problem with all of the cheap Chinese brands is no quality control. The designs are sound and manufacturing circuit boards is easy, but there is not enough testing and inspection at the factory (if any) to ensure a good product. There may only be 1 in 200 that fail, but I wouldn't want to be the one to test them in the air.

I hear ya guys I know some of their older servos were not impressive but had hoped the 9150's would be an improvement. Thanks for all the info and keep them coming.

For those running the 9150's please state how much time is on the servos as well.
Thank you

Some Power HDs I have flown hundreds of flights with and not one problem whatsoever. As a matter of fact I have put them in several of my planes and my AW Extras 260 60-90 that has somewhere around 60-75 flights on it now.

RE: Power HD 9150 Servos Holding Up?
Any updates? I need about 25 new servos and I was thinking of going power hd 1501, 7150 and 9150. The hitec 5645 is good, but more expensive and I've heard lots of issues with centering after several flights and premature gear wear.
I've used the 1501s and I was extremely impressed. I'd like to know what's causing the servo lockouts that some users have experienced. What, inside the servo, is binding up?

RE: Power HD 9150 Servos Holding Up?
I have been running the Turnigy 9150 (same as the Power HD 9150) for rudder on a 50cc Yak, 1/3 scale Laser 200 on all control surfaces except the rudder, Hanger 9 85cc Sukhoi on all control surfaces except the rudder, and in a 50cc Reactor on all control surfaces except the rudder. I have gallons of flights through all of these aircraft. I love 3D and I have had no issues except for some sloppy gears in a couple - though this was due to an operator installation error []. My issue is, where do I get gear sets for them to be able to rebuild them? I tried Hobby King without any luck.
