Gas Engine rubber mount ?
At work all pumps, generators, tampers, chain saws, etc. have rubber engine mounts.
Why not RC gas engines???
I used rubber on a test stand and it worked well! The engine thrust angle did not change with throttle change.
This is my frst gas engine and I am told to watch out for vibration. So, why not get it at the source?

RE: Gas Engine rubber mount ?
My first gasser used a urethane mount. It was the type that inserted into the firewall and expanded as you tightend down the engine mounting bolts. The engine literally beat itself to death. It was quickly replaced by a 3W 70 twin solid mounted. In 13 years of flying gassers and progressing up the IMAC ladder to unlimited I have not used nor have I seen anyone else use a soft mount. These days most gas engines run smooth enough not to bother.
