Default How to make flaps deploy slowly on JR 9303?

Greetings,

Can you all advise me on what settings I need to make the flaps deployed slowly? On my 9393, there are three flaps positions and what can I do to make them move smoothly? Thanks DP

I have a JR 8103 but am not familiar with the 9303. Unless it has provisions as in some high end radios to slow the servos you can add one of these: http://www.emsjomar.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=6

I have one and it works fine.

IMHO the 9303 is a high end radio. It has a very nice servo speed adjust function where each servo can have a separate speed in each direction that is Flight Mode or switch selectable.
To adjust servo speed, simply highlight and select SRV. Speed in the FUNCTION List.
The servo speed can be adjusted from 0.176 seconds/60 degrees (very fast if the servo is normally this fast or faster) up to a maximum value of 15 seconds /60 degrees of travel (very slow).

The 9303 has a flap delay build into the Flap System.

Go to DEVICE SELECT on the System Menu
On the bottom row, under FLAP, Press the Selector until SYS. shows.

Go to the FUNCTION MENU.
Select FLAP SYSTEM (You must have SYS selected on DEVICE SELECT under FLAP or the Flap System Menu won't show)
In the lower right corner is Delay
Scroll to it
Press the Selector
Roll Selector to any amount from INH to 2.0 seconds in 0.1 sec intervals.

Hello all

Thank you for your replies. On my Stuka what would be the appropriate speed for flap deployment? I see so many planes pitch up suddenly so slow deployment would help don't you think? DP

I have a Hobby Lobby Servo Retarder that delays one of my E-flite Electric Retract, so it looks a little more realistic. (Like a Luftwaffe Aircraft) But on my 72mhz 6 channel I don't have a speed function like some of those high end radios seem to have. I wish they had something out for he standard mechanical retract servo, that would be wild.

On the JR 9303 Flap System menu, there is also an elevator compensation in addition to the flap delay. It'll take a couple of try & fly to see how much compensation you need, but it's a worthwhile exercise.
