Default Replacing connecting rod Magnum.61

Can someone tell me how to put a connecting rod in a magnum 4 stroke engine. I had one break during flight and had no trouble getting the old one out since it was in two pieces. I know there has to be a trick to it but I haven't figured out how to get the rod on the crank and piston at the same time. Thanks bkyrdflyer

You have to pull the head and remove the sleeve, then the piston. Then in reverse install the rod in the piston the piston and rod back in block then the sleeve. Make sure you check every thing for damage, bottom of sleeve and piston skirt.Check your valves, the piston could hit them when the rod let go.
Good luck

When you remove the sleeve, that gives the rod anough side play to get the rod on the crank. Not that hard to do but it is better to ask than have something go wrong.
