While typing in your post, when you get to a place where you'd like to have one, [&:] move your mouse pointer over the one you want and click. It's code will magically appear where your cursor is.

Hey they turned into smileys after they were posted...Is that how it works for everybody? The first effort looked like brackets and dots and things like that but after posting they transformed....

Good morning B.C. When I click on a smiley, they show up as a smiley in my post right away. No brackets, dots and stuff. Sorry, this isn't what you wanted to hear. No idea why yours work like they do, but at least they do work.

It looks like blake isn't using the RCU faces. The RCU faces show up as there code in your message until you post it.

As Ringo once said, everything looks worse in black and white. So often we all say something here and because it's in print it comes out looking/sounding wrong like argumentative or rude or belittling. The faces help sometimes to show your intent. Sometimes nothing helps so you just move on. A lot of us are older and take meds that really effect your mood or how you say things so the faces are a must. I know I have a two hour window my wife doesn't even want to speak to me or I tend to chew her head off. I try to stay off the puter completely then but sometimes I don't notice the mood swings. Every time I need to have any work done on my autos I wish I could use the faces when dealing with the service people. I really have a hard time controlling my temper. Then again I have never lived in an area where every auto shop tries to rip off every customer like they do here!![:@][>:] I really miss my small town mechanic I had in Calif.[&o] He was great, his brother, not so much.

Hey Gene. Not that it really matters, but I do use the RCU smileys. Don't know why, but they do show up right away for me. Both in the regular and fast reply.

Hey bc. This is just one of the choices from the smileys in the task bar, at the top of the reply. Don't understand why yours would be different.

OK. I just went and checked something. Are you using the reply, or the fast reply? They are different.
