Default Futaba 1024 PCM receiver

Can it cause damage to a 72 receiver by leaving the power on without signal from the Tx ?

No damage to the receiver but could possibly do some harm to a servo should any noise or extraneous signal cause one to go to the extreme position. That is not likely to happen but it is a possibility.

I recently set a plane up with the 1024 pcm and everything worked fine.  A couple days later I dicovered the switch was left on and had no response.  Installed a different receiver and all is well.   Coincidence maybe.

I have destroyed many a battery leaving the switch on once I have put the planes away for the week, but never a reciever or servo. Good Luck, Dave

Dittos to Davids remarks about destroying batterys by leaving switchs on and have contributed far to many of my share but never affected any receiver of mine but I do beleve stray RF noise depending upon the severity of that noise could indeed affect a servo being over driven and damaging gears. A simple manual check of the gears would resolve those fears.

Like John and david I have left the switch on a couple times and never hurt anything except my pockets from pulling out the cash for another battery pack.
