Charlie Hillard was a well known airshow pilot in the seventies and eighties I beleved he was killed in a SeaFury later. That has nothing to do with the name of your airplane which sure looks like a Christen Eagle to me.

Charlie Hillard was a member of the "Eagles" aerobatic team which explains the name on the tail. Your bird is most definitely a Christen Eagle, just not sure from which company!

PS - Upon closer inspection your model reminds me of the old EZ line of ARF's.

It also looks like a old Lion Models ARF that Indy Hobbies sold in the 1990s It was for .60-.90 glow power.

Chad is correct, it is an old EZ Christen Eagle. I assembled one for a lady once who wanted to give her husband a Christen Eagle after seeing the full scale trio perform. This was way back in 1983. After putting it together I met up with her and her husband at the flying field to surprise him and fly it for him. That flight lasted all of 10 seconds. I has powered it with an OS 28 as that was the best choice at the time. I got it air born but didn't have enough power to make a turn so I eased the throttle back and landed it in the grass. I think the bulk do the problem is that it is set up for a stock muffler and a fairly long flexible extension that goes through the firewall. If I had one today I would put a Thunder Tiger 36 in it with a good quality Pitts muffler.

I may have the manual at home in the box of one of these that I bought at a swap years ago. The plane was started and I never got interest in it once I got it home. I'll see if I do have the manual when I get home from work. I've had two of this kit and one of the larger EZ or Lion kits. They were nice if you didn't wreck them. Think I paid 50.00 for the started kit. I either need to slap it together to hang up or sell it. Feel free to message me back if I have the manual I should be able to coppy it and mail it to you.

that would be great I sent you a message.

I was thinking a crash would suck with the plane being plastic
