Radio Issues?
Hi guys having issues with my 6xas, put new batteries in last year and pulled it out to fly and nothing the servos just jitter? Been doing this 20 years and can't figure this one out. Tried the radio on my other planes same results. Maybe the cyrstel went bad? Any ideas? Thanks mike

Does it make a difference if the radio is on or not? If no, I'd suspect an issue with the antenna. If yes, the crystal is your most likely culprit and then various circuit board issues.

What is the voltage of the transmitter battery?
If the battery voltage is OK then remove the transmitter crystal and re-seat it. The prongs or sockets could be tarnished or loose.
The crystal could have failed also. That would be the cheapest and easiest thing to replace yourself .

Yes tried that went back to my very first radio with same crystal and same thing. Going to get a new set of crystals and try that. The radio is old but has been a good one never a problem in 15 years.

No it set ppm thought about that. Tried different set of cyrstals wouldn't work so I went to my old conquest and it will work but no range? Checked old tower radio with the cyrstals out of 6xas and it works go figure. Going to do a long range check and go fly. Thanks for the help guys.
