Carb switch on RCG 26cc
I took off the crappy carb on my rcg 26 and put a walbro fro a dle 30 I had laying around on it.
Throat size was just a little bigger. I could not get any fuel draw to the carb no matter what I did.
I even had the tube from the crankcase to the carb top. Anything I was doing wrong.

If the carb has been around for a while the diaphragm may have gotten hard, the screen may have dirt in it. I solder the hole in the choke butterfly closed for better draw on my walbro carbs and sometimes still need to cover the carb with a thumb to get that first drip going. When it's an old carb I go to the small engine repair shop and get a new kit that is alcohol tolerant for it and do a quick rebuild. I have also installed the gasket that has the pulse hole in backasswards and then they will never draw.
