Default Midwest Aero Star 40 Kit

Anyone have the instruction manual for a Midwest Aero Star 40 trainer kit? Thanks.

If you can't find a manual, see the RCU Magazine section up top. There was a January 2003 build review of this plane that should get you most of the way through the build. Unfortunately Page 2 is missing which probably had the CG and throws information. However, you probably won't go wrong with balancing on the main spar and using the throws from just about any other .40 sized trainer that you can find a manual for as a starting point.

Thanks, but that is an article on the ARF, I am looking for the instruction build manual for the kit. Giving the kit to a new be, I could build it from the plans myself but the book will help him on his first build.

Oops. Thought for sure I had one, but can't find it offhand. Built one last year, so it should be around somewhere. I'll keep looking.

Thanks Top Gunn, my son lives in South Bend so if you do find it he can pick it up.

Sorry, K3. Went through the stash, and it looks like I kept the plans but tossed the manual, if I ever had one to begin with (bought the kit used).

In the course of a thorough cleaning of my shop, I found the manual. Let me know if you still need it. Sorry about the delay: it was someplace it had no reason to be.
