Default G-38 spring starters

Are these spring starters any good? Is it worth purchasing,,does it cause any undue stress on the drive mechanisms etc?

They do however remove the shoulder pain encountered by a bulky engine and makes life more enjoyable. I finally broke down and put one on my G-62 and it turned it into a one flip start. Years ago they were seen on most gas engines but today the large spinner cone on an 18 or 24 volt electric drill is seen more often. I got mine at B&B Specialties.
