Default MY OS Max has been sitting

I have an OS Max AX .55 that I used just a couple times. I replaced it with a smaller engine so it's been sitting on the shelf for about 3 years. I just took it down and it still turns over nicely, but the carb doesn't want to open and close. My guess is that the fuel got sticky and is keeping it from operating properly. Is there a recommended way to get it operating properly? Do I need to disassemble the carb, or is there something that I can use to loosen the old fuel?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A heat gun and a bit of fuel on/in the carb will loosen it up but if your just going to put it back on the shelf there is no reason to do it at this time. Wait until you are going to fire it up and run it..

Thanks. Actually I want to clean it up so that I can sell it. I'm getting out of RC into other hobbies, and I don't want to sell anything that doesn't look good and work properly.
