Default twitchy bird

Been flying a HOG electric and it has became twitchy after some hard landings and cartwheels, So I have replaced the servo's with metal gear ones, as I found some missing teeth.

On the bench I can operate it with no problems for up to 6 min. and nothing. But in the air it changes trim's all most as fast as I can set them. receiver green lite stays on and solid

So any suggestions

Not all servos center very well. Some of the metal geared [steel] servos I have seen have too much slop in the gear train and don't want to center at all.

Gary I hear you but I have marked center and operated just the servos and they come back to with in the width of a fine line pen mark, and the holes in the surface arms are tight, no slop at all. and I should have said this bird is a
wild Hog delta wing thingy lots of fun when right.

This is my first electric so I don't know much about possible problems with the ESC, having done the cartwheels, and flop landings. The receiver is mounted on foam, I am using a fast receiver and at present the 2 antennas are run parallel to the servo leads about a 80 deg angel between them so I am going to change that, and may be go to the under surface of the wing, as it might be signal interference

I don't think flutter could be a problem as it only flies at an estimated about 40 to 60 mph

Hi!
Have you checked all flying surfaces so that they do not flex. If you push on, let's say the elevator it should be quite stiff.

Are you using Sullivan golden rods on the controls, if so the outer tube may have come unglued. And explain the trim issue

Hi jetmech

on Wild Hog you use tempered wire inside a tube it's a delta thingy. Going with a new receiver.
