Default Nylon Engine Mount on Standoffs

Anyone ever used metal standoffs to gain 2" on a nylon engine mount? Talking a saito 91. It's 2" short of protruding the cowl. I can build a plywood box, this just seems easier. Anyone?

I never have but I would go with the plywood box before I did that. I'm not a big fan of nylon motor mounts. The ones I've had have always crumbled from the glo fuel over time.
