Didn't go to the Futaba support forum because I don't need to be told to send my radio to Hobby Services... can't see sending my radio away for a month and paying $50 for something I can do myself in 20 minutes for $7.50. Does anyone know if the Futaba 3-position switches like these being sold for earlier radios are compatible with with the 14SG?

Not so obvious. The Tower ad lists discontinued radios that the switch is compatible with. Since Tower = Hobby Services, they won't be listing any parts for current radios, even if they fit. And the ad says specifically that they are not compatible with the latest extinct line, the 9Z, which makes me wonder if later radios are the same. Thus, my question.
And I was trying to get the part before I took my radio apart.

Well,, I was curious and since I have both the 14sg and a 8uap sitting around I opened them both up, I did not remove them from the front case, but they sure look the same from the outside, both have that little red tab. but I could not make out any numbers that would help.
Two differences I did notice,
1- the circuit board they are soldered to is slightly different, the 14 has an extra set of 4 wires, probably has to do with the switch assignable function the 8 doesn't have
2- on the chrome switch paddle itself, there are two little "o"s stamped on the back, not on the 8u switch,, does that mean anything?? who knows.
good luck
