I'm not sure if this is the right place, so move it if you have too. I think it would be cool if people posted aerial shots where they fly, be it club field, private land, public park etc.. Here is googmaps and aerial pics of my field. We are on the southern end of westlake park

Not an aerial view but here is my grass runway. I've only used it one time this year. I keep it mowed and it needs another mowing now. First picture faces South which the prevailing winds favor. Second picture North which winter winds favor. The tree line in second picture is set back a few hundred feet. Hopefully in a few months I will start using it on a regular basis.
Well somthing has changed in how you post pictures. They now post as attached images rather than thumbnail view.

Easier to do it this way: Club web site, with several shots of the field.

One of three clubs I'm a member of 2 in IL and 1 in PA.... .... actually started with the Mulligan Hill RC Club but the club almost immediately lost the field due to the death of the landowner and takeover by his son. Fortunate to have a member with great relationship with a local utility company and a year later the Valley Brook RC Club was born.

Scroll down for aerial pictures of the field
Runway = 950 ft long and 100 ft wide....more than enough room for even the biggest aircraft don't you think?

Here in Texas, Summer's can be brutal. I'm use to the heat and work in it a good part of the day. Having a sun shield would be nice for my grass runway. So I am in thinking mode for a portable sun shield. It would be on wheels and used for runway, primary and firewood splitting, equipment repair n servicing secondary. It would have to have some anchor points for those stormy days we have. It may be a good winter project. BTW, I forgot to mention my runway is 60x300'.
