OS .65 AX break in
I have a new OS .65 AX
No matter how much I turn the high end needle in or out it does not have any effect
however transition is good
I have ran three tanks through it, the tank is level with the carb and I have replaced fuel line
suspecting maybe an air leak
anyone have suggestion for this .65

You are probably right. Is the engine lean or rich? I'm guessing lean. The most common places for an air leak are the carburetor o ring, a damaged fuel line that makes bubbles appear in the line, loose backplate screws, and loose head screws. A good bit less common is a bad front bearing.

The high speed needle and the low speed needle are not independent, so it is possible for a poorly adjusted low speed needle to make the high speed ineffective. When it runs, is it rich?
When I have had air leaks it has cause erratic running.

Hi!
If you cannot set the engine rich you have either leak in the fuel system or the low speed needle is turned in to much. The low och high speed needles interact so turn the low speed needle out some.

Open the low speed needle as stated. Another thread on 4 stroke tuning issues indicate a similar issue you might read. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/glow-engines-114/
